Da Silva Wedding at the Toronto Botanical Gardens

What a beautiful setting for a wedding. There are some of the most spectacular species of plants to be found anywhere in Canada. The venue is the idea place for a cocktail reception, private event or just a place to take someone on a date. www.torontobotanicalgarden.ca As you can see from the photos, Lanny and his family are quite the party bunch! They tried to force me to drink straight vodka with them (I took the pictures instead!!). The party was great and many people commented that this was in fact one of the best weddings they had ever been to. The seafood buffet at 11:30pm put this over the top with traditional Portuguese shrimps, crabs and chicken! The music varied from traditional portuguese to house, dance and even a few hip-hop tracks. The surprise song of the night was Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus. I don’t know that I have ever played this song before, but the crowd started line dancing and seemed to know all the words!
