Heart & Stroke BIG Bike - April 29th
Monday, April 30th, 2007Boston Pizza parking lot, Georgetown, Ontario
The sun was shining and riders were ready to make some noise while peddling their way down Hwy #7 in Georgetown. For those who don’t know, the Heart & Stroke BIG Bike is a huge 30 person bike that is eco-driven (meaning pedal power!). There is 29 spots for riders and one for the driver. Basically, the BIG Bike is a party on wheels equipped with a stereo, microphone, sirens and 4 speakers. Teams raise money through pledges in order to ride this monster down the main street of their home town. It is awesome! For a Sunday in Georgetown, the crowds were amazingly energetic as I encouraged them to get “pumped up” about the 3.5KM ride. Star Productions has donated their DJ and MC services for all 13 of the Peel Heart and Stroke BIG Bike events. Click here for more information on how to register a team or donate to this great cause.
The teams for this day included: Wal-Mart, Power Zone, OLON, Howmet Castings, RBC, Christ the King School
The total raised for this day was $15,000
