On April 14th, 2007 we had the pleasure of DJ’ing for Erin & Sergio at the Old Mill, Toronto. The ceremony was held in the chapel and the reception was at 5pm in Guild Hall. I brought Brendan with me to learn the ropes about what I do and to expose him to what a wedding is like. Brendan is one of our roadies that has taken a great interest in becoming a Professional DJ. I am going to teach him and hopefully he will become a great DJ.

The highlight of the night had to be the kissing game. The couple bought “Harry Potter” Jelly beans with such flavours as: Booger, Rotten Egg, Bacon, Earwax to name a few. There was some good ones: Cinnamon, Cherry, Green Apple and my fav SARDINES!!

Needless to say everyone had a blast trying to guess what flavour they had and making the bride and groom kiss.

Once the speeches were done and the dancing started, I was on fire…it was a Portuguese/Canadian wedding and to kick things off with a bang, I played both National Anthems and everyone sang! When we got to the dancefloor, it was packed all night with traditional songs from Portugal mixed with contemporary artists like Sean Paul, JT, Prince, Akon, Fedde Le Grand and we even heard the Beer Barrell Polka for the brides mom. All in all, this was one of the best weddings I have done this year. I recorded the whole evening and once I figure out how to post it, I will put it on this blog for you to download.
